According to Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, green is the most abundant hue found in nature and so the eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum. Color expert Angela Wright claims that green’s position in the middle of the spectrum makes it a restful color because our eyes don’t need to adjust when looking at it. If the restful aspects of the color green aren’t enticing enough to add it to the interior of a home, the University of Munich research team reported in 2011 that the color green encourages creative faculties in the brain without having any influence on analytical processes.
