There are some challenges to remodeling an older home. It can be difficult to match out of production items. It may also be difficult to find the space you want. However, with a good eye, you can find space hidden everywhere. For example, you can add extra storage under a flight of stairs or in an extra large hallway. Enclosing a balcony can make a great little study. To give the illusion of more space, try replacing a normal-sized window with a floor-to-ceiling window. Or, use one type of flooring throughout the home to tie in different rooms and make them look bigger.
