Agrihoods: The New “Farm-to-Table” Homebuilding Trend

Green living is not just a building trend; it’s a return to nature and a more organic way of life. It’s a desire to retain a lifestyle that embodies health and wholesomeness. Across the nation, homeowners are forgoing the usual clubhouse amenities for a farm-to-table neighborhood option that is gaining popularity. Imagine walking with your neighbors to the neighborhood farm, bushel or basket in hand, to pick your own produce for dinner that night and breakfast the following morning.  These “agri-hoods” are more than a dream in suburban places like South Burlington, Vermont, and Chattahoochee hills, Georgia and popping up in urban environments like Flagler Village in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
