If you’re planning a kitchen or bath remodel, the folks from the National Kitchen and Bath Association propose you keep the following trends in mind: 1) Think less is more: Less ornamentation and country flair; more shiny, ultra-contemporary sleekness. 2) Kitchen countertops are going to be quartz with satin nickel fixtures on the stainless steel sinks, backsplashes will be glass, and the floors will be wood. 3) Appliances will include specialty features, and cabinetry will look more like furniture, with features for the household pets. 4) Baths too will incorporate cleaner lines, with gray being the color of choice. 5) Don’t forget floating vanities over the under-mount sinks and quartz countertops.
