Are smart homes really all that smart? Given the significant expense and effort that goes into the venture, “dumb” homes may be good enough. Honda, though may have struck the right smart house cord. With a focus on CO2, a by-product of automobiles and housing, they’ve put aside a lot of the fancy new technologies to concentrate on coordinating the efforts of the electric car and the smart house. Honda has one eye on good design, and the other on the most important features like quality windows, a ton of insulation, and an insulated concrete slab.
