The rollercoaster ride of home remodeling can be too much for some homeowners to bear. Home solution company, Bolster, conducted an online survey regarding some of the most prevalent remodeling issues. Here are a just few commonalities they uncovered: 1) 37% of homeowners entered the remodeling process without a predetermined budget. 2) 46% of remodelers with a budget exceeded it. 3) A significant amount of homeowners accept personal responsibility for projects or workmanship that left them feeling dissatisfied. 4) Almost 20% of homeowners report withholding a contractor’s final payments due to project dissatisfaction. 5) 85% responded that home remodels were more stressful that taking out a mortgage or saving for college.
