There are many arguments to be made about why we should go green with our homes, not the least of which is that going green can actually save you money. The US Green Building Council reports that buildings consume 40% of raw materials, 39% of energy, and 14% of drinkable water in the United States. This means 15 trillion gallons of water a year used in buildings, and 3 billion tons of raw materials. Reducing the amount of water and materials used in your home will help to conserve these resources as well as saving money. Low-flow shower heads are priced similar to normal shower heads and can earn back their investment relatively quickly.
