Interestingly, new homeowners even buy more appliances, though appliance suites usually accompany new construction. Similarly, other items, like computers, refrigerators, and televisions, drive new home budgets higher as well. Though the types of projects diverged significantly, remodeling projects present substantial costs to both new and existing homebuyers. New homebuyers even outpaced spending with regards to outdoor additions, with non-moving homeowners only surpassing both types of moving homeowners with regards to improvement projects like roof repair or garage construction.
